U Type Horizontal Ribbon Blender is a mature and widely used industrial dry powder mixing equipment independently developed and produced by ChiYu. Adopting U-shaped trough body and double-layer positive and negative spiral ribbon structure, the equipment relies on horizontal rotating stirring principle to realize rapid convection, flipping and uniform mixing of various powder and granular materials. Scope of Application

Working Principle
Ribbon Blender (also named ribbon mixer) is a basic industrial mixing machine. They consist, basically, of a trough-shaped shell (usually 2 to 3 times longer than it is wide) with a semicircular bottom, fitted with a horizontal longitudinal shaft on which are mounted arms supporting a combination of ribbon blades, paddles or helical screws set at a fairly close clearance to the semicircular mixer body so that no layer of material remains on the bottom of the ribbon mixer. The most effective design of ribbon layout is the double spiral in which the outer ribbon moves the product in one direction and the inner ribbon moves it in the opposite direction.
The ribbons rotate and move materials both radially and laterally to insure thorough blends in short cycle times. Ribbon agitators are used for blends that will be between 40 and 70% of the rated capacity of ribbon blender. During operation, the double-layer spiral ribbons drive the material to produce continuous circulating convection, shearing and flipping movement, eliminate material dead corners quickly, and finally achieve uniform and stable mixing effect in a short time.

B, The rotation is under critical speed, which will reduce the effect of fragmentation to the material (e.g. Crystal particle). The low-speed stable operation design protects fragile crystal materials and granular materials from crushing and damage, ensuring complete material morphology.
C, Lower height of the container is convenient for installation. The optimized low-body structure reduces the overall height of the equipment, saving workshop space and facilitating on-site installation, commissioning and daily maintenance.
D, The positive and negative ribbons are set up at the same level, forming a mixing environment of low power but high efficiency. The symmetrical positive and negative spiral structure forms a balanced material circulation system, realizing energy-saving operation while ensuring uniform mixing.
